Wayn Donates $11,000 Year-Long Campaign | RICHMOND COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: (richmondcountychamber.com)
Richmond County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 19.
WAYN Radio in Rockingham has announced an advertising grant to the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce.
The $11,000 campaign, which began in late November of 2022, will run through December of 2023. Commercials featuring Chamber president Kristi King and Chamber marketing and membership director Jonathon Lewis highlight the many benefits of Chamber membership.
The campaign is part of WAYN’s continuing effort to help revitalize the Richmond County economy through selective grants. "Last year we awarded advertising grants totaling $25,000 to 12 promising business and provided bonus advertising to all our advertisers to help locally owned businesses rebound from Covid-19," said WAYN president Bill Futterer, "Plus, we moved our office and studios back to downtown Rockingham to show our commitment to growth."
WAYN, founded in 1946, is in its 77th year of service to Rockingham, Richmond County and the Sandhills. "We’ve always been a supporter of our local Chamber of Commerce," continued Futterer. "A vibrant Chamber with broad business and professional participation is essential to a community’s success."
