County of Stokes issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.
North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will be transforming the intersection at Dodgetown Road and Hwy 8 & 89 to a 4-way stop sign.
This is reported to occur middle of next week sometime, and they plan to put up digital signs to warn of the traffic pattern changes once the signs are installed.
This could potentially be very dangerous considering it is a highly traveled area and with the addition of new traffic protocols.
Please pass the word along so we can all make sure this unforeseen change is adjusted to in the safest way possible for Stokes County citizens.
For more information, the contact number for the local DOT is (336) 914-6000.
