The Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a deadly attack on Israel, using air, land, and sea forces. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is now at war. The attack has left many allies of Israel mourning and expressing their concerns.

"I'm heartbroken to see Israel under attack," said Congressman Greg Murphy, who released a statement on the attack. He expressed his deep concern over the situation, highlighting the impact on global stability.

The attack primarily took place along the southern border, with massive rockets and infiltrating mechanics fired from the Gaza Strip. As of October 7th, around 5,000 rockets have been launched, resulting in the death of 168 people and nearly 2,000 injuries, according to local officials in Israel. Hamas has also been reported to have captured soldiers and taken civilians hostage.

Congressman Greg Murphy's response to the attack focused on the role of the Biden Administration in the destabilization of global security. In a letter posted on social media, Murphy criticized President Biden for unfreezing $6 billion in assets for Iranian regiments, which he believes support terrorist groups like Hamas. He argued that this distraction from other global issues, such as the situation in Russia and Ukraine and China's potential attack on Taiwan.

Reuters reported that Hamas gunmen carried out surprise attacks in Israeli towns, resulting in killings and captures. Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed that Israel's enemy would pay a price like never before. The longstanding enmity between Hamas and Israel has escalated, leading to the declaration of war. This attack is considered one of the worst in Israel in recent years.
