King Public Library issued the following announcement on Feb. 17.
Would you like to unlock the potential of newspapers for your research but don’t know where to start?
Join us for Part I of a three-part webinar series as we take an in-depth look at North Carolina newspapers – both historical and contemporary – and where to find and access them.
For historical context, we’ll start with a brief outline of North Carolina’s newspaper history and the research value of newspapers. Then we’ll dive into a comprehensive look at newspaper collections around the state and what can be found in library print or microfilm collections, freely available online, and through a number of subscription database resources. And we’ll wrap up with a brief tour of SLNC Government & Heritage Library collections and services.
This program will be presented by SLNC Government & Heritage Library Reference Services Head, Kelly Agan & Reference Services Assistant, Taylor Thompson.
Please register for the February 24, 2022 program at the link, slnc.info/NCpapers1
