City of Rockingham issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
Kick off the holiday season with the City of Rockingham’s 19th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Cole Plaza. In conjunction with the tree lighting SANTA will arrive at the Gazebo at 5pm (between Cole Plaza and Leath Memorial Library) via a City of Rockingham Firetruck, courtesy of Thomas H. Leath Memorial Library. RSHS Band will be playing Christmas music starting at 6pm with the tree lighting at 7pm followed by cookies, hot cocoa and hot cider. Everyone is welcome! Special thanks to Hillside Florist for decorating the gazebo for Santa!
