CITY OF KING: City of King COVID-19 Updates - July 22

Covid 19 1000x667

City of King issued the following announcement on July 22.

Attention utility customers: Governor Cooper announced on Friday, July 17th that Executive Order 124, which halted all late fees and utility disconnections, will expire after July 29th.

For our customers who have balances due from April 1 – July 29: we will assess no late fees and will not disconnect your service as long as payments are being made on the balances from that period.  You will have up to six months to pay those prior balances. We strongly encourage you to submit the payment plan form found here to help you in organizing a plan for repayment.

For our customers who ONLY have balances due August 1 and after: late fees will be assessed on these balances, and lack of payment may result in a disconnection. Bills due on August 1 or later are subject to late fees/disconnection if that is the only balanced owed. Call the Collections Department at 336-985-1100 with questions.
