According to a report by ABC 11, last year's Asian Fest broke attendance records with over 10,000 attendees. Tho Nguyen, KPMG's Alliance Director and Director of Corporate and Community Relations, expressed their anticipation to break last year's record with this year's festival. Nguyen also emphasized the festival's goal of educating guests and all those who wish to participate.
One of the highlights of the fest is the Dragon Boat Racing, a popular sport in China. Several teams from Raleigh, including the Raleigh Dragon Boat Club, join and compete in the festival. However, WRAL published an article shedding light on some injuries that have occurred during these races, highlighting the intense competitiveness of the teams.
The event, which is hosted at the Book Amphitheatre Town of Cary, attracts approximately 10,000 visitors each year. The festival offers a wide range of exhibits, cultural displays, games, health screenings, unique performances, and, of course, the signature dragon boat race. Additionally, attendees can indulge in delicious foods and delicacies from various parts of the world.
