CITY OF WINSTON-SALEM: Closures for ongoing maintenance and construction along I-40 in Forsyth County

City of Winston-Salem issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.

N.C. Department of Transportation contractors have scheduled the next set of closures for ongoing maintenance and construction along I-40 in Forsyth County.

Weather permitting, the following closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:

• Tonight through Thursday, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from the U.S. 421/I-40 interchange to Peters Creek Parkway.

• Tonight, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from east of Hanes Mall Boulevard to west of Stratford Road.

• Tonight, the exit loop onto I-40 East from the connector ramp between U.S. 421 North and I-40 West will be closed with a detour. (see map)

• Wednesday, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from U.S. 52 to Hanes Mall Boulevard.

• Thursday, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from Peters Creek Parkway to west of Stratford Road.
