VILLAGE OF TOBACCOVILLE: Public Meeting – PARTF Grant Site Plan For Village Park Expansion

Meetingtable

Village of Tobaccoville issued the following announcement on Apr. 13.

The Village of Tobaccoville has scheduled a drop-in public meeting on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at Village Hall at 4260 Tobaccoville Road from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in order to present a PARTF Grant Site Plan for the expansion of Village Park.  The Village is applying for a PARTF grant to construct new amenities in Village Park as well as renovate existing facilities. The grant application to PARTF (Park & Recreational Trust Fund) would be for $480,000 in order to expand recreation on a 9.5-acre parcel of land west of existing Village Park as well as to replace the existing court complex. The grant would fund half the construction cost of the following amenities and renovations:

  • Multipurpose trail around the exterior of the 9.5-acre parcel as well as a connector trail from the parking lot of Village Park.
  • 9-hole disc golf course
  • Amphitheater
  • Additional picnic shelter
  • Complete renovation of the basketball and tennis court complex which has reached its replacement time.
  • Volleyball court
As part of the grant application process, we are interested in sharing the plan and receiving your comments. This meeting is open to the public and all citizens are encouraged to attend and review the plan.  Should you have any questions please contact Village Administrator Dan Corder at 336-983-0029.  Links to the PARTF Grant Site Plan and the Village Master Plan are provided below:
