Rockingham County Schools issued the following announcement on Mar. 24.
Rockingham County Schools will introduce rising 8th grade students to our high school academies that are tailored to their career goals and future plans! Every 8th grade student will choose their high school option next year in March, 2023. We are providing a simulated experience for them this summer!
Each student will begin at their own feeder high school on June 20th-June 23rd. The next week will be filled with three days (June 27th-June 29th) of field trips to explore the other academies.
Transportation and lunch will be provided daily. Your student will have lots of fun while exploring what our high school academies offer! Visit rock.k12.nc.us and search the front page under "RCS Important Updates" for the application (deadline April 8)
