Village of Tobaccoville issued the following announcement on Mar. 3.
A seat on the Village Council became vacant effective January 5, 2022. Per N.C.G.S. 160A-63, “A vacancy that occurs in an elective office of a city shall be filled by appointment of the city council.”
The Village Council encourages interested candidates to submit information to them for their consideration in filling the vacancy.
Candidates may email their name, contact information and a summary of their qualifications to administrator@tobaccovillenc.org or deliver the information to Dan Corder, Village Administrator, at Village Hall by March 31, 2022.
This vacancy does remain open until filled by the Village Council and a candidate must reside in the Village limits and meet all qualifications to hold elected office.
