Village of Tobaccoville issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.
It is with great sorrow that we announce that Leroy P. Ault, current Council Member for the Village of Tobaccoville, passed away on January 5, 2022. Appointed to Council in 2013 to fill a vacant Council seat, Lee was elected to a two year term in 2017 and re-elected to a four year term in 2019. Lee also served Tobaccoville through his extensive work on the Village Park and Recreation Committee, and he was always there to lend his support to Village events. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 22 at Old Richmond Evangelical Methodist Church, visitation 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. and service at 11:30 a.m. Lee is survived by his wife Myra and numerous family members. We are deeply appreciative of Lee’s service to the Tobaccoville community and we extend our deepest sympathies to the family.
