ROCKINGHAM COUNTY SCHOOLS: COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine For Children Ages 5 to 11

Rockingham County Schools issued the following announcement on Nov. 25. 

Children ages 5 to 11 are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine at the vaccine clinic on the campus of UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden. UNC Health strongly recommends this vaccine as the best way to protect your children and family. The clinic, which is located at 518 S. Van Buren Road, Suite 2, behind the Hospital, is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.. There is no cost for the shot. Parents or guardians are encouraged to drop in with their children. Appointments are not necessary. In addition to the Pfizer vaccine, now approved under an emergency use authorization for those 5 to 18, the clinic offer Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines and boosters for anyone meeting eligibility. All visitors to the vaccine clinic must wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
