Rockingham County Schools issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
EnergyUnited is accepting applications for the 2022 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, an all-expenses-paid youth leadership experience in Washington, D.C. This year, EnergyUnited will be selecting two students to represent our co-op in Washington, D.C. in June. Youth Tour delegates are offered many unique opportunities during the trip. Not only do delegates have the chance to network with peers, they also visit national monuments, museums and will spend one day on Capitol Hill meeting with members of the North Carolina congressional delegation.
To qualify for this opportunity, students must be a sophomore or junior in high school and either receive electric service from EnergyUnited at home or attend a school that receives electric service from EnergyUnited. We encourage you to help us spread the word about this amazing opportunity!
