RICHMOND COUNTY SCHOOLS: Voted Unanimously Approve Mandatory Universal Masking For All Pre-K - 12th Grade Students and Staff

Richmond County Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 3. 

On Tuesday, August 3, the Richmond County Board of Education voted unanimously to approve mandatory universal masking for all Pre-K - 12th-grade students and staff (including CCP and REaCH) to:

- Mitigate transmission between students and staff;

- Eliminate social distancing requirements;

- Remove daily symptom screenings;

- Allow parents to visit schools again per policy;

- Alleviate “vaccination” tracking concerns;

- Eliminate hybrid instruction model;

- Support in-person learning with the elimination of mass quarantining requirements.
