City of Charlotte issued the following announcement on Jul. 22.
COVID-19 cases are going up across most of the country, with more than 90% of states and territories experiencing increases.
The current 7-day average of daily new cases is 37,674. This is a 52.5% increase from the previous 7-day period, and a 230.5% increase from the lowest overall average observed in June 2021. Take steps to slow the spread in your community. Get vaccinated as soon as you can. If you are not fully vaccinated, take actions to protect yourself and others.
Wear a mask over your nose & mouth.
Stay at least 6 feet from others.
Avoid crowds & poorly ventilated spaces.
Wash your hands often.
