Stokes County Public Health Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.

If you’re spending time outdoors this summer, it’s important to know the symptoms of a spider bite.

 From Black Widows to Brown Recluse spiders, their bite can be uncomfortable and even dangerous. 

Take precautions, like shaking out shoes and clothing before dressing and wearing gloves when working outdoors.
