On Friday, April 25, former West Stokes High School standout Jacob Mabe’s current college team, the Mount Olive Trojans, won 17-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Chowan Hawks.
The game took place at Hawkins Field. This was their third matchup against the Hawks this season.

During the week beginning Monday, Sept. 1, these former North Central North Carolina area high school athletes will be in action.

State Sen. Dana Jones, sponsor of a bill enhancing protections for education savings and ABLE accounts, saw the measure pass both the North Carolina House and Senate.
