On Thursday, March 20, former John M. Morehead High School standout Makel Smith’s current collegiate team the UNC Wilmington Seahawks lost 82-72 against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.
Hosted in INTRUST Bank Arena, this was the first game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders during the championship.
Makel Smith’s hometown is Eden and game position is guard.
