Vice President Kamala Harris visited North Carolina A&T State University (NC A&T) on Sept. 15. Harris used her time to promote voting to students and stand for their beliefs.

Harris used her time to discuss the students’ youthful power, NC A&T reported in an article.

“When I look at the number, the excellence, the beauty, the brilliance of everyone who is here, I know the future of our country is bright,” Harris said. “What I want for you is that you have the freedom to live your best life. And you are going to play an active role in making that happen.”

Harris’ entire speech was mostly her pushing the students to be “leaders” and grow into the future generation of our country.

“Holding a microphone in front of hundreds of young, educated black men and women is her wheelhouse, allowing Harris to talk policy, platforms and hope with people she considers to be leaders in their communities, and future leaders of America,” a Spectrum News report stated about Harris’ ability to speak to different audiences.

Harris also thanked voters of color for the record turnout in 2020, which she said made a difference in helping elect President Joe Biden and herself, ABC 11 reported.
