On Friday, April 4, former John M. Morehead High School standout Hayden Friese’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, won 9-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Gardner–Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs.

The game took place at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Runnin’ Bulldogs this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium against Gardner–Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs.
