City of Winston-Salem issued the following announcement on Sept. 25.
KWSB is postponing Big Sweep for a week!
Creeks and streams will be running higher and swifter on Saturday than normal due to heavy rains that Hurricane Ian is expected to bring!
Big Sweep participants would have been at risk, given that many groups were scheduled to work in creeks and streams. Hours and locations are all the same, just pushed back a week.
