City of King issued the following announcement on March 7.

Protect yourself from identity theft by bringing your personal documents and records to be safely shredded at no cost to you! 

We’ll be set up in the parking lot across from City Hall.

Open to all who live, work, and play in Stokes County.

Sponsored by Civic and Local Government Federal Credit Unions in conjunction with the City of King.

Not for use by businesses, commercial entities or county departments. 

Limit of three document boxes or 75 pounds of paper per attendee.
