City of King issued the following announcement on Jul. 31.

City Council candidate Dillard Burnette has withdrawn from the 2021 City Council election due to the anticipated construction timeline on his new home and uncertainty regarding his residence status within the City limits by the required deadline.

We appreciate former Councilman Burnette’s tenure of service on the City Council and his willingness to serve the citizens of King again. We wish him the best moving forward!
